22 Koreans held for making liquor in Kuwait

Kuwaiti police arrested 22 South Korean men during a raid on a house they were using to making alcoholic drinks, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The raid came after a policeman saw a South Korean expatriate swaying towards his house on Kuwait City and tried to stop him, the Arabic language daily 'Al Watan' said.

It quoted police sources as saying the expatriate refused to stop and fled into his house, prompting the cop to call for back-up.

“A police force stormed the house and discovered a liquor factory inside. It also arrested 22 Koreans involved in this crime,” the paper said.
