Addict kills parents, injures brother, sister

A 20-year-old Saudi man who was treated for drug addiction stabbed his parents to death and seriously injured his brother and sister before he was arrested by the police.

The man attacked his father in his 70s, and his mother, in her 50s, with a knife and stabbed them many times. He then stabbed his 15-year-old brother and sister, 23,  before fleeing home in North Saudi Arabia.

Police said the killer was arrested hours after the murder and that he was being interrogated about his motives.

“The parents died of their wounds while the brother and sister were seriously injured and hospitalized,” police spokesman Colonel Owaid Al Anzi said.
