Adulterer regrets it... but blames it on the devil

A married Saudi man who was caught by the kingdom’s religious police sleeping with a woman said he was sorry and blamed it on the devil.

“I regret it…I was seduced by the devil to commit sin,” the unnamed man told members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.

Following a tip-off, Commission members had stormed an apartment in the capital Riyadh and arrested the 50-year-old man and his girl friend.

“They were caught in an absence act…both admitted they have been dating for a while,” Sabq Arabic language daily said.
