Child subject to family violence by anti-family violence mum

A Saudi mother working as a doctor at a counter-family violence centre in the Gulf Kingdom is facing charges of subjecting her little daughter to family violence.

The girl told her school management that she was mistreated by her mother when she was asked by her teacher why she came to school in her pajamas.

“She told the school management that her mother forced her to sleep at her car all the night before sending her to school in her pajamas in the morning,” the Arabic language daily Al Watan said in a report from the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah.

It said health authorities have decided to question the mother, who works as a doctor at the counter-family violence in Jeddah’s health department.
