Crime: Man caught offering self for SR200

Published

Saudi Arabia’s feared religious police arrested an Indonesian man on charges of offering his body to other men for SR200.

Five Pakistani men were also arrested for dating the man.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice watched the 33-year-old Indonesian as he waited for a police undercover pretending to have accepted his offer, newspapers said.

After he was arrested, five Pakistani men texted him and offered to pay him for sleeping with him.

When they arrived, they knew it was a police trap but it was too late.

“The Indonesian offered his body to other men and those Pakistanis responded to him...they all had no fear of God nor they had any respect for the holy site,” Sabq newspaper said in a report from the Western town of Makkah.(STAFF)

Authorities in a Saudi city told bakers to shave off their hands as part of a drive to ensure safety for consumers, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

In a letter sent to all bakeries in the central town of Onaiza, the Municipality said all workers at bakeries must shave off the hair on their hands and warned those who do not comply would be fined and suspended from work.

Sabq Arabic language daily, which carried the report, did not say if the decision covers only the hand or the whole limb.(STAFF)
