Drunk hubby throws pregnant wife from 3rd floor

A drunk Kuwaiti man carried his pregnant wife and hurled her down from the third floor at their flat in the Gulf emirate during an argument but the woman escaped with injuries while her infant remained intact.

The woman, in her sixth month pregnancy, was rushed to hospital in Kuwaiti City and examination showed she suffered from injuries but had no miscarriage.

“Her drunk husband fled and hid at relatives but he was arrested later by police later,” Alwatan Arabic language daily said.

13-year-old girl axed to death by ill brother

A 13-year-old Moroccan girl was axed to death by her mentally ill brother just after she returned home from school, press reports said on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old brother, who has suffered from psychological problems for a long time, waited for his sister to come back from school and brought the axe on her head inside their house in the western port of Mohammedia.

“She was axed many times and died of her injuries…police arrested her brother who is suffering from mental illness,” the Moroccan Arabic language daily Hespress said.

Screams save 13-year-old girl from kidnapping

Two unknown men stalking a 13-year-old girl in Kuwait waited for her to walked out of school, stepped out of their car and jumped on her. But they fled empty-handed after her school mates chorused a big scream.

“The two men tried to drag the girl into their car by force just as he was leaving her school,” the Kuwait Alwatan daily said.

“She tried to resist….when her school mates saw the incident, they began screaming, prompting the two men to leave their friend and flee.”

Hacker held for trying to extort Saudi firm

A Saudi hacker who stormed into sensitive data of a well known information technology company in the Gulf kingdom was arrested after he tried to extort the firm, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The unnamed company reported the incident to police and said the hacker managed to get access to sensitive information belonging to clients with the aim of extorting money, the Arabic language daily Aleqt said.

“We used experts in this regard to track this man down….within 48 hours, we succeeded in identifying and locating him,” the paper said, quoting Lt Colonel Ziad Al Ruqaiti, police spokesman in eastern Saudi Arabia.

“We then made a trap and managed to get him…he is in his 20s and has been referred to the competent authorities.”
