Employer held for raping absconding maid

Police in Kalba arrested a Pakistani employer and his female assistant on charges of raping an Indonesian housemaid after locking her up in his office for nearly a week.

The maid had phoned the man and asked him to help her flee her employers after she was told about him by a friend.

He then took her to his office in a building in the eastern city, locked her up and raped her for nearly a week.

Police seized the man after the maid managed to shout to an Arab neighbor, who called the police to that building.
