Girls try to kill dad over rape attempt

Three Saudi girls used a cleaver to stab their ageing father before trying to set the house ablaze while he was in bed, accusing him of trying to rape one of them.

Fire men managed to control the blaze and saving the man, who was found bleeding in his belly as he clutched the cleaver he said his daughters used it against him.

The man told police at hospital that his three daughters stabbed him with the cleaver before setting the house on fire.

The three girls confessed to having tried to kill their father to avenge his attempts to rape one of them, Sada newspaper reported.

“Police are still interrogating the man and his daughters, who insist their father tried to rape one of them,” it said in a report from the southern town of Khamis Mishait.
