A 28-year-old Ethiopian housemaid in Kuwait received a letter from her family at home. Three weeks later, she went up to the roof store room and hanged herself.
The maid, identified as Sofia, was found dead by her employer in Kuwaiti City after she was late in coming down to the flat.
“Her employer told police that she received a letter from her family three weeks before her death and that her behavior had changed ever since,” the Kuwaiti Arabic language daily Alanba said.
