Jilted man ends life at fiancee’s home

A 20-year-old Yemeni man used a gun to kill himself at his fiance’s home in the Arab country after she rejected him as a husband.

The man was at his fiancee’s home in the capital Sanaa to ask her father to fix a date for their wedding when he was told about her refusal to marry him.

“He went to another room and shot himself as his fiancee’s family tried to persuade her to marry him,” a police spokesman said, quoted by Yemeni newspapers.

Asian found hanged by ceiling fan in Saudi

A Pakistani worker committed a suicide by hanging himself by the ceiling fan, using a Saudi head cover, in his room in the Gulf Kingdom.

Colleagues found the man hanging in his bedroom in the northern town of Rafha in the morning and called the police, who opened an investigation into the case.

Sabq daily said his body was sent to the coroner for examination before it is shipped to his home country.
