Man accused by ex-wife of raping their son

A Saudi woman accused her ex-husband of raping their son and could be lashed 80 times unless she provides evidence to court, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The unnamed woman told the judge that her son revealed to her that his father raped him but the father denied the charges, saying his ex-wife wanted to defame him.

“The judge told the woman that she must submit evidence or she will be lashed 80 times,” Makka newspaper said in a report from the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah.
