Man kills nephew in Kuwait, says he can’t believe it

A young Kuwait man used rocks and a gun to murder his nephew before fleeing home and leaving the boy lying in a pool of blood. When he was arrested, the killer told police he just cannot believe he had done it.

Police suspect the killer could have taken drugs when he hit his sister’s son on the head with a rock many times before shooting him at a private rest house in the oil-rich Gulf emirate on Tuesday night, local newspapers reported.

“The killer kept telling the police that he could not believe he had murdered his nephew as he was like a friend and they are both of the same age,” Alanba daily said.

It said police searching the killer’s car found items which they suspect to be drugs, adding that the defendant was caught and handed to the police by his brothers.
