Mental patient kills another ill man

A Turkish man suffering from mental illness killed another Sudanese patient at a psychiatry hospital in Saudi Arabia after calling him "devil."

The Turk assaulted the Sudanese man without reason at their ward in the hospital in the Western town of Makkah before staff members intervened.

The Sudanese was rushed to another hospital after he was severely beaten by the Turk but died of his injuries, Sabq daily said, quoting police.

"Police were told that the Turk suddenly attacked the Sudanese and started beating him while calling him 'devil...devil,' the paper said, adding that police are investigating the case, the first of its kind in that city.
