Nurse jumps out as bus driver changes route

A female nurse jumped out of the bus which was taking her back home in Saudi Arabia when she suspected the driver’s motives after he suddenly took another road.

The nurse has just finished her shift at the central hospital in the northern town of Arar and took the little hospital bus back home, Sharq newspaper said.

“The Saudi driver suddenly took another road…instead of asking him why, the nurse jumped out of the bus near a cattle market,” it said.

“People at the market rushed and caught the bus driver until the police arrived….police said the driver would be detained for five days for interrogation.”

The paper did not identify the nurse but quoted police as saying she jumped off after she suspected the driver had “ill intentions.”

 Saudi cop punched by man with “weird” hair cut

A Saudi religious police man who rebuked a local young man for his “weird” hair cut at a packed heritage festival in the Gulf Kingdom had apparently not thought that man would overreact to his move when he got a punch in the face.

Abdul Aziz Al Zahrani, one of several members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice guarding the Genedaria festival in the capital Riyadh, went straight to the Saudi young man and reprimanded him for his hair cut.

“When he said that to him, the young man quickly punched him in the face in front of hundreds of people…Zahrani was taken to hospital and had three stitches near his eye,” Sabq daily said, adding that the young man was arrested.
