Saudi kills wife then stabs four passers-by

A Saudi man in his 30s went berserk and stabbed his wife to death at home before rushing out and attacking passers-by with the blood-stained knife, injuring four.

Police rushed to the neighborhood in the capital Riyadh after receiving calls a man was clutching a knife and attacking people in the street.

“Police overpowered the man and took him away while four people were taken to hospital.

Police entering the man’s house found his wife dead after he stabbed her in the neck many times,” Sabq daily said.


Mosque preacher killed by son

A Saudi man used a kitchen knife to kill his father, a mosque preacher, before handing himself over to the police, newspapers in the Gulf Kingdom reported on Sunday.

The unnamed boy attacked his father, in his 70s, and stabbed him many times, killing him instantly at their house in the southern Saudi province of Khamis Mushait.

Police are still interrogating the man to know his motives for the murder, the papers said without mentioning the killer’s age.
