Saudis seize over 4m captagon pills at port

Saudi customs inspectors seized more than four million captagon pills concealed in the roof of a truck which was shipped aboard a ferry at a port in the Gulf Kingdom.

The inspectors, suspecting the truck was transporting banned items, conducted a “thorough” search before allowing the shipment into Saudi Arabia through the Western Red Sea port of Duba near the border with Jordan.

“About 4.1 million captagon pills were found hidden in the roof of the truck…the roof was covered with gypsum to mislead customs authorities,” Ajel daily said.
