A teen age Saudi girl is believed to have stabbed her father after he raped her four times and threatened her against reporting him.

The incident, reported by Saudi activists on Twitter, took place at the girl’s house in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah.

The 17-year-old girl has been arrested and her father has been taken to hospital with serious stab wounds, they said, according to Kabar newspaper.

“It is believed that the girl waited for her father to sleep and stabbed him after he raped her four times,” the paper said without giving further details.

Young sisters marry two old men

Two Saudi old men, aged over 60 and 80 years, married two sisters below 20 years and a social expert described the marriage as a financial deal.

The two men from the eastern province of Qatif married the sisters on the same day, the Arabic language daily Alriyadh said, adding that the two girls, both aged under 20, belong to a very poor family.

“It is a deal not marriage…this girl who married the 80-year-old man clearly was forced to do so because she knows she will not enjoy her life with this husband,” it said, quoting well know social expert Mohammed Shioukh.

“The problem is that old men who merely want to satisfy their lusts always find their victims among poor families…this should prompt our young men to marry Saudi girls as soon as possible.”

"Her employer confessed to having caused those bruises by using violence against the maid,” police spokesman Brigadier Daman Al Diran said without identifying the Saudi woman and the victim

Victim’s relatives want “blood money and death” for killers

An Abu Dhabi criminal court trying 16 Indians and one Pakistani on charges of murdering their Pakistani colleague on Sunday adjourned hearings to June after the victim’s split relatives demanded both diya (blood money) and execution of the killers, the press reported on Monday.

The victim’s father said he refused diya and called for death punishment against the killers while the rest of the family wanted diya but demanded more money on the grounds the number of convicts is large.

“The judge then made clear that under Islamic law, relatives of the victim must choose either pardon and diya or death punishment….he asked the relatives to reach agreement and adjourned hearings to June 17,” the Arabic language daily Alkhaleej said.
