Teen kills dad, tries to set body on fire

A Saudi teenaged boy murdered his father and tried to set the house on fire to disfigure his body but it was put out by the Civil Defence before the body was charred.

Police said the boy confessed to killing his father, in his 60s, by hitting him with a heavy ash tray on the head many times after an argument at their house in the western Red Sea port of Yanbu.

A police patrol which happened to be passing in that area noticed that heavy smoke was coming out through the door in that house after the son apparently forgot to shut it

“Police were investigating the case when the son returned home to change his clothes. They noticed that he had blood on this clothes and knew that he was involved in the murder,” the Arabic language daily Al Riyadh said.

Wife hammers husband to death in Saudi

A Saudi woman used a heavy hammer to murder her ageing husband by hitting him on the head several times, a newspaper reported on Saturday.
The woman, in her 50s, kept hitting her husband at their home in the eastern Ihsa province until his head was crushed, Ihsa News said.

It quoted  police spokesman Colonel Ziad Al Rugaiti as saying the wife was arrested and would questioned about her motives.
