Sorcerer held in Saudi for ‘bad’ magic

Saudi Arabia’s religious police arrested a local sorcerer involved in blackmailing lovers and other people, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice arrested the magician in the Southern Asir province along with his driver.

“He is one of the best known sorcerers in the area…many magic items were found in his car,” the Arabic language daily Sada said.

“He confessed to practising magic work involving blackmailing his victims, mainly men or women who want their lover to stay with them.”
