Crime: Man dumps wife's body with kids' help

INDIA: In a horrific incident that has come to light, it has been discovered that a man killed his wife and then dumped her body with the help of his daughter, 12, and son, 6, in the Indian city of Mumbai.

It is not clear if the kids knew that it was their mother's dead body in the gunny sack that they helped him dispose, reports Mid-Day.

When the body was discovered by the police, they checked the CCTV footage of the cameras installed around the area where the body was found, they double-checked an autorichshaw that was seen in the recordings. They tracked the auto owner down to his house only to find that he was missing along with his family. The woman's neighbours identified the dead body.

The police found the man they were looking for when they realised that the auto rickshaw owner's neighbour also had CCTV installed outside his home.

When they scanned through the footage, sur enough they saw their culprit dragging a gunny bag in the dead of the night to his richshaw while his daughter kept a watch for passersby/traffic.

The man has fled to his village in another part of the country, while the police is hot on his heels to get him back to Mumbai and get justice for the murdered woman.
 
2-week old baby punched by dad, dies

US: A 20-year-old father of a new-born was so engrossed in his nigh-long gaming session that he punched the little mite for getting 'fussy' at 5am and interrupting his game.

The father apparently was frustrated at the break in concentration. He got up and grabbed the baby by the neck and punched him in the face, reports CBS 6.
The infant, according to prosecutors, then "went back to sleep", and later died of his injuries.

The man and the baby's mother, who is also 20 years old, thought of hushing up the matter when they woke up and saw that their baby was dead.

The mother finally dialled 911 and the police charged the father with first degree murder.
 
Gunmen fire on patients in ICU

INDIA: In a shocking incident, 10 gunmen barged into the critical unit of a hospital in Gurgaon, near delhi, and fired five bullets at three patients who were already fighting for their life.

One of them was shot in the head and is critical, while the other two are also grievously injured in the unprecedented attack, reports The Times of India.

All three have been moved to a different hospital in the city.

CCTV footage revealed that the assailants coolly walked into the restricted area around 3:30pm and attacked and left chaos behind. The entire incident took about 2-3 minutes, reveals the daily.

The assailants have been identified by the police officials.

Meanwhile, investigations have revealed that the incident was a fallout of an old feud between two local groups. The bullets were meant for the patient who was hit in the head by the gunmen.
