Crime: Man shoots waiter over leftover food

NEW DELHI: In a shocking development in the Indian capital a client shot at a waiter with .32 bore pistol in a restaurant for serving him stale food.

No one was injured in the incident, reports NDTV.

The culprit along with his two friends went to a restaurant in the city's central area of Connaught Place. The client alleged that they were served leftover food as most of the fresh food had gotten over.

A heated altercation ensued and the man opened fire at the waiter who fortunately ducked and went for cover.

The waiter called the police even as the culprit's friends ran away from the scene of the incident.

The man was arrested for attempt of murder.

Suspicious partner throws acid on woman's face

INDIA: A 30-year-old woman suffered terrible burn injuries on her face and neck when her live-in partner threw acid on her.

The partner, who is a married man, suspected the woman of two-timing him, Indian daily The Times of India quoted a PTI report. 

The couple have been living together for five years in Hyderabad. The man is absconding. However, police officials are tracking him to charge him with murder attempt.

Man kill neighbor with a hammer

A Tampa-Bay area man who authorities say attacked his neighbor with a hammer has been charged with second degree murder with a weapon.
 
A Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office press release says 28-year-old Jarrett Kyle Brooks was booked into jail late Saturday. It was not immediately known if he has an attorney.
 
Authorities say Brooks approached Jonathan Acree from behind at a Thonotosassa trailer park, striking him in the head and neck multiple times with a hammer.
 
Acree was pronounced dead at the hospital.
 
The sheriff's office SWAT team was called to the home where Brooks was barricaded. Authorities say he surrendered after tear gas was shot into the mobile home. There was no one else in the trailer.
 
Investigators have not released a motive for the attack. (AP)
