Fugitive who raped wife in front of daughter for 6 years jailed

UK: A man who continually raped his wife over six years in front of their daughter and fled the country has finally been sentenced.

He has been sentenced to 15 years in prison, reported Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, the woman died in 2011, aged 33, following an illness.

Their daughter, who is now 18, was quoted as saying she could finally rest as justice has been served.

She said hearing her mom scream, she would go inside her parents room, but he would continue gagging and torturing her and simply say “it’s ok we’re just playing’.

The couple married in 2005. After they separated in 2007, he sent obscene pictures to his daughter, she claimed.

The incident came to light when police contacted the family in 2010 while investigating a harassment case involving him, when the cops were alerted of the rape and messages.

He was arrested but out on bail. And when the case came up for hearing in 2011, he did not appear. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison in absentia.

Last month he was nabbed from Spain and brought to serve his sentence.
