Man claims 2-year-old girl is his lover

A man has been arrested in Zimbabwe for molesting a two-year-old girl, who was his neighbour, reports Myzim.

The 29-year-old man told the court that the girl was his lover and he was exacting payment from her for the biscuits that he had bought her.

He denied the accusation and said that he was being falsely framed by his neighbours.

However, the victim's elder sister had caught the man molesting her sister and had reported the matter immediately to her mother, who had filed a complaint to the police, leading to his arrest.

The accused has been remanded in custody and is awaiting trial.
