A 34-year-old woman suffering from pancreatitis died as the surgeons refused to operate one her, not once but twice.

The woman was suffering from head lice and the doctors were concerned that she would get infection from the nits, claims UK daily Mirror.

The court also heard that the woman had faster than normal heart beat.

The patient had complained of severe abdominal pains in October 2012 and was admitted in Leicester General Hospital. However, the doctors refused to operate on her.

In February 2013, when she went back to hospital, the woman's weight had dropped by eight stone but even though a surgery was scheduled for her, she did not clear the pre-operative assessment on account of the nits.

The woman lost her life's battle in June 2013, due to severe pancreatitis and multiple-organ failure.
