UAE gives $10m for Maldives development

UAE has granted $10 million (Dh36.7m) to support development in the Maldives during 'Maldives Donor Conference 2010' that was held in Male. Dr Maytha Salem Al Shamsi, UAE's Minister of State, headed the UAE delegation. The UAE team also included UAE Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Mahmood Mohamed Al Mahmood. Al Shamsi extended greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
