Al Futtaim follows US move for Avalon and Sequoia models

Al Futtaim Motors said yesterday it will follow US actions regarding 2005-2010 model Avalon and 2009-2010 Sequoia cars.

Simon Frith, Managing Director of Al Futtaim Motors, said: "We have been monitoring the situation and liaising closely with Toyota Motor Company (TMC). We can now announce that of the eight models affected by the US campaign, only two are sold by Al Futtaim in the UAE.

"TMC has confirmed the two models, Avalon and Sequoia are highly unlikely to experience the same accelerator issue due to the UAE's climatic conditions."

"However, we will undertake the same service campaign launched in the US. We will communicate the details to our customers," he said.
