Sheikh Majid visits Noor Dubai

Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, visited the studios of the newly-launched Noor Dubai television station in Al Quoz to thank the committee that spearheaded the Wasahebhuma programme.

In the presence of Abdullatif Al Sayegh, CEO, Arab Media Group, Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed was introduced to the committee members of Wasahebhuma and briefed on the success of the programme. He also viewed the opening episodes of a documentary on the campaign, which is currently being aired on Noor Dubai TV during Ramadan.

Ahmed al Zahed, Head of the Wasahebhuma Committee, said: “We would like to humbly thank Sheikh Majid for his patronage of this important initiative. Preserving the strong bond between generations is a key element of our culture and religion, and a core value that our leaders justifiably recognise as the cornerstone of any successful society. We are glad we were able to fulfill the lifetime aspirations of many of our brethren through this humanitarian programme.”

During his visit, Sheikh Majid lauded the committee’s work, and motivated the members to gear up for similar initiatives in the near future. 

The Wasahebhuma campaign was organised in co-operation with the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian Organisation and sponsored by Deeyar.
