Sheikh Mohammed chairs cabinet meeting in Abu Dhabi yesterday. (WAM)
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, chaired a meeting of the cabinet at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi yesterday. Lieutenant-General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Presidential Affairs, were also present.
The cabinet approved the establishment of an emiratisation council, which will include representatives of local and federal emiratisation authorities and councils.
The council will be responsible for formulating policies and standards to promote emiratisation and for supporting the development of skills and competitiveness among nationals.
The cabinet also reviewed the UAE comprehensive periodic report, which was submitted to the UN Human Rights Council on March 19.
