On congratulating the winners, Sheikh Mohammed urged them to be more creative, stressing the vital role the private sector plays in boosting the national economy.
He added that the private sector complements the public sector, and acts as a major tributary to the development path.
Also present at the ceremony were Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, several sheikhs and senior officials.
Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of the MRM Awards Panel of Judges, praised the role of the award in the country's economic development and extended his deepest thanks to Dubai Chamber for initiating and sponsoring the award for the fourth year.
"The winners would be an example for others to follow as the participating firms will get accurate evaluation and feedback report on their performance and can come back for the award's next session with renewed zeal."
While welcoming the gathering, Abdul Rahman Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chamber, said: "The Award has acquired a massive importance due to its role in highlighting the best business practices and excellent performance of certain firms, and for appreciating its contribution to the national economy. Moreover, the Award enables the participating firms to get detailed evaluation and confidential feedback reports on the company's business performance and areas of strength and development, and that in itself is a good result and an opportunity to excel in the UAE business."
