The Abu Dhabi Municipality is setting up a roads emergency and crises team to be ready round the clock to tackle any problem that might crop up on the roads.
The initiative aims at establishing a highly technical emergency team from different departments.
The project also aims at ensuring smooth traffic flow and avoiding inflicting losses to lives and properties.
In the event of any emergency, the team promptly moves directly to the site to ease traffic flow in co-ordination with the Emergency Centre, the municipality as well as the Traffic Department and all other related service providers.
The initiative comes in the context of a comprehensive strategy to build an integrated system to ensure the safety and comfort of inhabitants and the environment and enhance the profile of the city among the top metropolitan cities worldwide.
