Blades, Four Seasons Golf Club, Dubai One of the city's hidden secrets tucked away in Dubai Festival City, this brunch lays out some 50 dishes or more.

From mezzeh, beautifully plated in bite-sized portions, to all manner of soups and salads, there's enough to satisfy both those on a health kick and those looking for a feast. We'd recommend the Fines de Claires oysters and the Thai-style lobster spring rolls.

People watch: Laidback types looking to kick back with a quiet one in a lovely casual ambience that is low on noise and high on luxury.

Timings: From noon to 3pm

Price: Dh365 per person, inclusive of select beverages; Dh285 with food and soft drinks. Major credit cards accepted.

Yalumba, Le Meridien Dubai It may be the most infamous brunch of them all, but unsavoury associations aside, the wide variety of dishes on offer and the friendly service make it a nice treat.

While it isn't cheap at Dh429, the wide array of salads, cold cuts, seafood, desserts and hot stations offer value for money. Better yet is the chance to have as many starters or mains as you want, straight off the menu, and all included in the same price.

People watch: Fun-loving expatriates looking for a piece of the sunny five-star life. Just don't ask about a certain Ms Palmer.

Timings: From 12.30pm until 3.30pm

Price: Dh429 inclusive of real bubbly, house beverages and more. Major credit cards accepted.

Glasshouse Mediterranean Brasserie, Hilton Dubai Creek It's only the notoriously picky chef Gordon Ramsay's team that is dishing out this delicious food. So kick back to the tunes from the classic eighties and dig into brunch favourites Eggs Benedict and roast beef with Yorkshire pudding.

A fab new menu offers something a wee bit classier for the food snobs, including mussels served mariniere, with a scrumptious fillet creamed cabbage that simply melts in your mouth.

People watch: Want to be free of the Jumeirah Janes and the Marina Marks? Then look no further.
