Italian-born Fabio Capello, Manager of the English national football team, has been confirmed as the latest guest to attend this year edition of the Laureus World Sports Awards.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi in the coming week.
Following the media furore surrounding team member John Terry's playing off the pitch and Wayne Bridge's withdrawing from the England squad, Capello is probably in need of a bit of a break.
His trip to the UAE capital follows the England versus Egypt friendly match, which was yet to start at the time of going to press.
Other names set to join Capello at what's been dubbed the "Oscars of the sports world", are world heavweight champion boxer Vitali Klitschko, Germany women's football coach Silvia Neid, South Africa rugby coach Peter de Villiers and American 400 metres world champion Sanya Richards.
