In today's world, where the customer is king and there is no limit to the kind of pampering you can get, one hotel in Dubai has taken the hospitality business a notch higher.

Guests, who opt for the Dh26,000 a night package for the Presidential Suite at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City, not only get the usual luxuries one expects from a presidential suite but also get treated to a private helicopter tour of the city, a spa treatment with crushed diamonds and also get to taste dishes made by the world-renowned chef Pierre Gagnaire.

Giving the lowdown on the Presidential Suite, Hotel Manager Dieter Franke told Emirates Business: "As InterContinental Dubai Festival City is uniquely positioned on the bank of the historic Dubai Creek, facing the city skyline, the Presidential Suite has what I consider the best views in town. The windows along the length of the suite all face out over the creek towards the towers of Sheikh Zayed Road, beautifully framing views of the tradition and modernity of Dubai at once.

"The 240 sq ft suite has three entrances, one main entrance to the living area, one for the guest bedroom so visitors may come and go as they please, and one from the kitchen so that service staff may discreetly leave without having to disturb the room.

"One of the features that really makes the suite special, apart from the haute contemporary design, is the master bathroom. The beautiful marble overflow bath is the perfect place to sip a beverage overlooking the views, the double walk in showers and double steam rooms also provide guests with the utmost of luxury, as does the walk in wardrobe linking the master bedroom."

Once you taken in the views to your fill you can head for the Spa InterContinental and get yourself the Natura Bissé Diamond Magnetic Ritual.

An ancient ritual of therapeutic healing with gem stones, the diamond magnetic peel is made from real diamonds and luminous mud to exfoliate your skin and release the energies. The diamond treatment is followed by a luxurious enriching mango butter melt, massaged with hot mineral stones to relax tense tight muscles and further complimented with an eye enhancement treatment.

If you feel like taking a tour of the city after a relaxing treatment then all you have to do is hop on to the hotel's chopper and get a private tour of the emirate from the sky and pass on the traffic jams.

And if all the site seeing whets up your appetite then you can try out the cuisines at the Reflets par Pierre Gagnaire restaurant at the hotel.

After wowing diners in Paris, London and Hong Kong and Tokyo, Chef Pierre Gagnaire has opened a restaurant in Dubai at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City. His cooking style uses his naturally creative intuition to transform dishes, referred to by his colleagues and peers as simply a 'Pierre Gagnaire style'.

To dine at 'Reflets par Pierre Gagnaire' is to experience what could certainly be described as culinary 'experimentalism' at its most profound. The ingredients fused together in each dish have been chosen by the chef for their intense flavours, whether complementing each other or holding a stark contrast. Either option will result in a sensuous effect on the diner they will neither expect nor forget. Colour, taste and texture are combined so that each course served is a carefully presented work of art.

However, despite all these features, the hotel is most proud of its design and location. Dieter Franke summed it up: "We are very proud of the unique design of the hotel itself. Our architects were given free license as far as the design was concerned. Inspiration was taken from the creek, which had been a life-force for Dubai's growth, which consequently lead to the form of the building. The height of the hotel is in the shape of sail, with the lobby as the bow. Other features in the design of the hotel that we knew would make it a special building also make us proud, such as the infinity ledge of the pool (a surprise for swimmers and those walking underneath!), and the multi layered Desert Garden in front of the building. In the evening, I often see guests marvelling at the views of the sun setting behind the towers of Sheikh Zayed Road, with the waves of the Dubai Creek lapping the banks of our waterfront promenade. A truly magical location."
