Priyanka and Shahid to spend New Year together?

Kaminey stars Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor are rumoured to be spending their New Year's Eve together in Chandigarh.

Mumbai Mirror reports that the on-off pair are together again after it was revealed that Chopra, who allegedly turned down offers of live performance work on New Year's Eve, will travel out to Chandigarh, where Kapoor is filming his father Pankaj's new movie Mausam.

An insider said: "Shahid and Priyanka are back together. The couple recently reunited at Karan Johar's chatshow Koffee With Karan. That's when they met and sorted out their misunderstandings and problems."

The two will apparently stay at an undisclosed resort in the Punjab capital.

Katrina Kaif will feature in new Prakash Jha project.

The Times of India has reported that Kaif will play the lead role in Satsang, a behind-the-scenes look at the globalisation of Indian religion.

The model-turned-actress said: "It would be the most challenging part of my career so far."

The star won critical acclaim for her collaboration with Jha earlier in the year on the political drama Rajneeti.

"Prakashji and I have discussed the part in detail. I'm open to the challenge," added Kaif.

Filming is expected to begin on the project once the actor has completed work on Dostana 2.

SRK turns writer for RA.One

The King Khan plays a superhero in Anubhav Sinha's next RA.One and it seems like the role is rubbing off on him in real life too.

Shah Rukh Khan is multi-tasking off the screen and apart from playing the lead role in the film, he has also written a part of the screenplay, claims Mumbai Mirror.

Daily tell its readers to look closely at the closing credits of the film where SRK will be credited for writing the screenplay along with Hollywood writer David Benullo.

An industry insider was quoted by the paper as saying, "Since RA.One is not a run-of-the-mill film, it requires unique treatment. It has loads of special effects, which is why Shah Rukh wanted Benullo to work on the script, along with Kanika Dhillon, to make sure it stands out from the usual commercial Hindi films."

Benullo has Around the World in 80 Days, Hallowed Ground, Cupid and Shadow Man which won the International Fantasy Film Award in 2006 to his credit.

"While sitting for screenplays with Benullo and Dhillon, Shah Rukh too gave his inputs for the film," says the source "and ended up penning a few pages of the screenplay.

Benullo and Dhillon were both impressed at SRK's talent as a writer and decided to retain the scenes. It is just a part of the entire screenplay, but very beautifully done."
