While the women will die to work with Shah Rukh Khan, the men are not really keen to rub shoulders with the Bollywood King Khan.

Strangly enough, but this reason, from what we understand is purely professional for sure.

Not long ago Ranbir Kapoor was offered a film with Shah Rukh Khan by none other than Karan Johar who wanted the two to be together in a film which could have made enough news and gathered enough eyeballs.

But then the actor refused the film as he did not want to play second fiddle to King Khan at a time when he was able to swing a Rs 100 crore movie like 'Barfi' on his own steam.

When asked about dumping Karan's proposal Ranbir said, “I don’t believe in first lead or second lead or anything of that sort. I have myself been a part of a film like 'Rajneeti' which had an ensemble cast and I wasn’t the only guy in the movie. That film was not about me playing the the first lead or somebody else doing the first lead. It was a film”.

And now it's John Abraham who shows no interest to work with SRK. This after he had intially given his nod to the Farah Khan's 'Happy New Year'.

John had already worked in Shah Rukh Khan-Karan Johar home production 'Kaal' where SRK had been kind enough to do a item number.

John who is now working as the lead in a few films including Sanjay Gupta’s 'Shootout At Wadala', was clear about not playing second fiddle to Shah Rukh Khan.

This was before his hit home production 'Vicky Donor' was released. Inially John did show interest in the movie, so much so that he showed Farah the promos of 'Shootout At Wadala'.

John also has 'Race 2' coming up where he has a sterling presence and hence he has a good 2013 coming up.

John said he has turned producer and could make films that suited his personality and will do only the ones that can further his career and his company’s prospects.

It is believed that Sanjay Gupta had instigated John to refuse the role because it would not go well with his image.

The reason most men today are refusing to work with SRK is because he hogs all the limelight.

Arjun Rampal was not even given a percentage of the publicity that happened for 'Ra.One' and the male actors seem to have learnt their lessons right.

Despite playing the title role, Rampal did not benefit much from the film and his last lead role in Prakash Jha’s 'Chakravyuh' came a cropper.
