Salman Khan fever is back (not that it was ever down), one can sense the temperature rising as the release date of 'Dabangg 2' approaches.

Everywhere he goes, the actor is literally mobbed (no doubt he has a formidable security team).

While most of Salman's colleagues in the industry are busy trying to consolidate their place in the Rs 100 crore (INR) club, Salman Khan is in a different zone altogether.

He has cruised passed that mark long time back and there's no speed break for him. He is eyeing the much coveted Rs 200 crore (INR) club with 'Dabangg 2'.

The new benchmark is Rs 200 crore (INR). Only one actor, Aamir Khan, has crossed that mark with '3 Idiots'. If there is anyone who can out do Aamir that's Salman who missed the chance with a whisker during 'Ek Tha Tiger'.

If 'Dabangg 2' crosses the desired Rs 200 crore (INR) mark Salman will definitely have very a good birthday on December 27. This despite the fact he has been summoned to appear in a Mumbai court on December 27, for a hearing in the infamous hit-and-run case of 2002.

As it is Salman has no plans to celebrate his birthday. He said, “I have not yet planned to celebrate my birthday. I will not be celebrating my birthday at my farm house. And who I may celebrate it with too has not yet been decided.”

He also has no plans to invite the media if at all he has a party. “I am not the kind to invite the media on my birthdays…I have been in the industry for so many years but have I ever invited you guys home for my birthday like others do. I do not want to simultaneously invite my personal guests and media together. My friends may hesitate to be around the media. I am one actor who never invites the media.”

He adds, “If the media is around for personal events how will we be comfortable?”

He may not have plans to celebrate his birthday yet but after 'Dabangg 2' we are sure there's going to be some celebration.

Trade analyst in India expects 'Dabangg 2' to break all records. Taran Adarsh said, "Overseas collection of 'Dabangg 2' expected to fetch a thunderous start beyond the shores of the country as well. The craze for the film is humungous!"

Going by the promos of 'Dabangg 2' the film promises some jaw crushing, bone shattering action served along with some super-duper one liners.

Of course there is a dose of romance in the typical Chulbul Pandey style who takes on the role of a father in this series. Sonakshi Sinha's beauty gives the much needed breather in this gravity defying action drama.

Also as reports suggest, there is an insane demand for 'Dabangg 2' not just among fans but even filmmakers. Producers and directors of as many as twelve movies placed their request for their trailers to be attached with 'Dabangg 2'. Only two could be accomodated - Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' and Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kai Po Che'.

And let's not even try to guage the craze among fans for Salman and his Dabangg act.

Bollywood critic and trade analyst Komal Nahta wrote in micro blogging wedsite, "D2 (Dabangg 2) advance bkg (booking). outstanding. Glass of cinema exterior broken by uncontrollable crowd in jaipur at Golcha. Salmania returns after 4 months!"

Holy cow! If that's the respond before the release wonder what's going to happen after December 21 when the movie is released in India.

UAE fans are lucky as the movie is releasing one day ahead, on Thursday, December 20.

Hope you have booked your ticket before it's hosefull.
