Reports of trouble in Abhishek Bachchan and wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's married life have surfaced suggesting all is not well in the couple's personal life.

India media reports that the rift in the Bachchan family is getting wider.

These reports surface as the Bollywood actress is poised to attend the Cannes Film festival for the 13th consecutive time.
 
The former beauty queen who was appointed as the brand ambassador of L’Oreal in 2003 joined the likes of Eva Longoria, Andie MacDowell and Penelope Cruz in representing the international cosmetic company.

Speculations were rife when Aishwarya was spotted leaving for the French Riviera with daughter Aaradhya but without husband Abhishek Bachchan.

Tongues started wagging as soon as pictures of Ash leaving Mumbai alone surfaced.

But Emirates247 got confirmation that Abhishek is busy shooting for his next 'Happy New Year' and is scheduled to join his wife on May 22.

Abhishek will accompany Ash to attend the star-studded amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala.

It seems the divorce rumour stems from the strained relationship between the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.

Jaya Bachchan's domineering and restrictive nature upon her daughter-in-law is proving to be the bone of contention. The former is said to be conservative in her approach which is going against Aishwarya.

Stemming from this sore equation, reports had further carried that it was due to Jaya's interfering nature that Aishwarya was adamant on moving out of the Bachchan family residence Prateeksha.

Media suggests that this has affected the young Bachchan couple.

Close associates say that contrary to reports there is no trouble in paradise, one cannot claim divorce only because Ash is travelling alone.
