Finally the cat is out of the bag. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's daughter, named 'Beti B' by the media, finally has a better name to be known with.

The Times of India report suggest that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya have registered the name 'Aaradhya Bachchan' for Beti B.

Ash had a baby girl on November 16, 2011 and since then fans and media have torn their hair to know what the baby girl was christened as. The Bachchan family remained mum and so were the family friends and relatives.

There were many names popping up each day, many speculations but all those names were rubbished either by the father or the grandfather Amitabh Bachchan.

It was understood that the family did conduct a naming ceremony but they all remained tight lipped not willing to divulge any details about the name or the baby. 

What’s in a name, one wonders? For the Bachchans, quite a lot actually, who have been secretly guarding the name of their little one ever since she was born four months ago.

However, as the frenzy reached fever pitch, father Abhishek Bachchan put all speculations to rest, releasing a statement on the sidelines of the National Indian Leadership Forum where he was a guest speaker.

When a reporter quizzed the actor why no photo or name of Aishwarya’s and his daughter was being released, he said: "...I mean, we’ve got a name, and I'll announce it very soon, but in terms of releasing a photograph you know I... if people see her in everyday life that’s fine by me but I just think releasing the photograph is a very pompous thing to do.”

But after all media did mange to fish out the name. Aaradhya's name was registered two days ago.

Aardhya is a Sanskrit word which means, “First One”, “pleasable” or “one who is worth worshipping.” Though the name is often seen as male orientated, it has been known to be quite unisex in the recent times.

Now next wait is the first glimpse of Aaradhya Bachchan.
