2014 will be a special year for a few former beauty queens-turned actresses.

To begin with The Times of India has reported that the rumour mills are grinding out news that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is allegedly pregnant again.

It has also been reported that ex-Miss Universe Sushmita Sen and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, is set to share screen space soon.

Now, that would be interesting to watch given that they were competitors in the Miss India beauty pageant 20 years ago and have maintained their distance since.

Also, making the news special is the project would be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s comeback vehicle.

It is being rumoured that Ash and Sush will be back together with ‘Happy Anniversary’, which is being directed by ad guru Prahlad Kakkar - his debut.

The film is being produced by Gaurang Doshi and is a comedy based on marital issues.

Ash is slated to star opposite her real-life husband Abhishek Bachchan and Sush will be in a supporting role. When asked about the film, Ash only had this to offer.  “All I can say, is that I am looking forward.”

Even we are looking forward to Aishwarya’s comeback. Ash may not have confirmed, but Sushmita’s words seem to be a bit reassuring.

“Aishwarya and I don’t chat, but we are about to do a film for sure,” Sushmita says.

“My intention is to work in a film that I want to do. I can work any time, but then, the makers have to be ready. The script  and the dates need to be locked and only then can anything materialize properly. But yes, the film has been in the news and as an actor I can only wait, but I promise you that if you have waited long for a comeback, I will not disappoint you. I will see you again for sure,” Rai assures us.

Meanwhile, Miss India 2000 Dia Mirza’s second home production ‘Bobby Jasoos’ is slated for release this year. This detective film has Vidya Balan in the lead role. And that’s why the film is special for her.

Similarly, former Miss World Lara Dutta is also set to stage a comeback with the sequel to her film ‘Challo Dilli’, while former Miss India Celina Jaitley is set to expose her singing talent this year.

Celina who is also United Nations’s Goodwill Ambassador, has picked up the ‘Uthe Sabke Kadam’ song from the 1979 film ‘Baaton Baaton Mein’ and will be singing a version soon.

We wish all the beauties good luck and much more!
