Alex Reid 'really down' over split

Alex Reid's mum has revealed her son is "really down" about his split from Katie Price.

The cage-fighter's mother Carol Reid has confirmed he is back living with her and his father Bob at the family home in Aldershot, Hampshire, and admits she has never seen him so low since he separated from his ex-glamour model wife in January.

Speaking exclusively to this week's heat magazine, she said: "He's really down. He can't even talk much about (the situation).

"Katie hasn't been to our house. She hasn't called, either. I don't know what's happening."

Carol is so angry with Katie over the way she has treated her son she can't even bring herself to speak about her shattered relationship with Alex.

She added: "I can't even talk about that girl."

Katie is now dating Argentinean model Leandro Penna, and the 25-year-old hunk has been in the UK staying with the 32-year-old beauty over the last week.

The pair met at Sir Elton John's post-Oscars party in Los Angeles February.

Katie - who has three children, Harvey, eight, Junior, five, and three-year-old Princess Tiaamii from previous relationships - officially filed for divorce from Alex, 35, earlier this month citing "unreasonable behaviour" as the reason for the break-up.

The pair married in a secret ceremony in Las Vegas in February 2010.
