Amir Khan, wife Faryal attend Harbhajan Singh's wedding in India

Amir Khan, a Britisher of Pakistani origin, is on his first trip to India.

The Olympic silver medallist along with his wife Faryal Makhdoom was a special guest at Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh's star-studded wedding reception in Delhi on Sunday.

The British boxer joined Indian cricketers, Bollywood stars and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a ceremony which was attended by around 1,000 guests at a city centre hotel.

Harbhajan had tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend and Bollywood actress Geeta Basra in the Punjab city of Jalandhar on Thursday.

The Bolton champion was joined by Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Kapil Dev and Anil Kumble.

Amir also took time out to visit Ajmer Sahrif Dargah and offer his prayer.

The welterweight boxer is on his first trip to India and plans to open academies in the country and help develop some raw talent.

He is keen to start his project first in Delhi and Mumbai before heading further inwards.

He has been building five such centres in Pakistan and also start in UK, Doha, and Sydney.

Dubai is also in Amir's radar as boxing is a sport which is growing quickly in this region.

Khan is still chasing a potential bout with Manny Pacquiao in 2016 while a domestic showdown with IBF world champion Kell Brook also looms on the horizon.
