Are Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in Dubai?

The curious case of the missing Bollywood lovebirds appears to be a plot right out of a blockbuster movie – Katrina Kaif’s own cinematic outing in fact.
 
Just like the cliffhanger ending of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, which concluded with unsubstantiated sightings of Kaif’s character with Salman Khan’s Tiger in numerous cities around the world; the actress decided to bring the cat-and-mouse reel-life game into her real-life.
 
Only this time, a certain Ranbir Kapoor has replaced Khan.
 
After days of speculation of whether the rumoured couple are holed up in Barcelona, Spain, news comes from an unlikely source that the duo is actually here in Dubai.

According to Kaif's fans, the actress was indeed in Spain with Kapoor and Mukherji, but not in Barcelona as most speculated, but rather in Ibiza.

The trio was pictured in the crowd on July 8, attending a David Guetta concert on the party island.

Following which, the fan site adds Kaif and Kapoor extended the holiday to Dubai to take in some shopping.

Last evening, a young woman tweeted on her account: “Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor chilling at La Petite Maison, DIFC.”
 
Despite no pictorial proof to go with this seemingly innocent tweet, the user’s news, who goes by the name Sarah, had an electrifying effect on fans and media that have been searching for an update on the couple, that has been missing in action these past few days.
 
While some fans couldn’t contain their excitement, others questioned the authenticity of the news.

When Emirates 24|7 contacted her, Sarah declined to comment any further on her tweet, saying she wanted to respect the privacy of the celebrities.
 
Irrespective of the dilemma facing some, the spotlight refuses to move away from Kapoor and Kaif, which has been grabbing headlines ever since the couple was pictured last month, sharing a meal with their respective mothers.
 
Kaif was spotted earlier last week at Mumbai airport, with everyone speculating she was flying to attend the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in Macau.
 
But the actress never arrived.
 
Her spokesperson later informed media that Kaif had fallen ill and was unable to attend.
 
Meanwhile, Kapoor was scheduled to join his close friend and director Ayan Mukherji in Barcelona, with rumour mil abuzz that Kaif would join the duo for a brief stop before she jetted off to London to celebrate her 30th birthday on July 16.
 
While the questions continue to pile up, we are sure the truth would surface shortly.
