Ariana Grande 'live' in Abu Dhabi for UAE National Day

Ariana Grande is set to make her UAE debut in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, December 3, as part of an extended UAE National Day celebration.
 
The ‘Problem’ songstress will perform live at du Arena Yas Island, as part of the country’s 44th National Day celebration, said organisers Flash Entertainment.

Following her success of the ‘The Honeymoon Tour’, which has been performed globally in over 75 cities, Grande has drawn a fan-following across the Middle East.

Bagging the gong as ‘Best New Artist’ at the American Music Awards (2013), Grande will perform from a set list of her ultimate hits from her latest number 1 album ‘My Everything’ including ‘One Last Time’, ‘Break Free’ and her five-time platinum hit ‘Problem’ that featured Iggy Azalea.

The young singer saw a tremendous career boost in 2014, where her albums ‘Yours Truly’ and ‘My Everything’ topped the Billboard Top 200.

A Grammy Award nominee for ‘Best Pop Vocal Album’ she became the ‘youngest woman to debut with over 400K sold first week’ when ‘Problem’ got released.

It ranked as the fifth ‘highest digital song debut for a female artist’ becoming number one in 85 countries and dominating the iTunes Overall Top Songs and Pop Songs charts for four weeks.

Notably, she has also made history last year when she landed three songs in the Top Six of Billboard’s Digital Songs Chart; the last artist to notch three songs in the Top Six was Michael Jackson in 2009.

Tickets to the show start at Dh 250 and go up to Dh15,000 for VIP Suites. Pre-sale for du customers will open from midday Monday, October 26, and for Flash members from midday Tuesday, October 27, to 11am Wednesday, October 28.

Y1 Access race ticket holders can avail a 20 per cent discount on General Admission for Grande’s concert. Tickets will also be available across Virgin Megastores.
