August is going to be very crowded month in Bollywood's calendar, with big movies releasing back to back.

But all the producers have decided to give clear window to each movie and all the movies in August will get their breathing space.

Movie clashes incur huge losses, so filmmakers are not ready to lose their money instead negotiate the dates.

Bollywood has always witnessed big clashes on Eid and Independence Day, but this August, filmmakers have given a clever slip to the clash.

With Rs. 250 crore riding at the box-office thanks to Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Chennai Express', Akshay Kumar’s 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2' (OUATIM2), John Abraham’s 'Madras Cafe' and Ajay Devgn’s 'Satyagraha'.

All four films will get successive weekends instead of same dates.

And this move by the makers has resulted in making August the month of superstar releases and celebrations.

Chennai Express:

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's 'Chennai Express' was all set to hit the theatres on August 8. But now that Eid will be celebrated on August 9 in India the makers have decided to postpone the date by one day. So instead on August 8 now the movie will be released on 9.

Earlier, 'Chennai Express' and 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara' were to release on August 8 but producer Ekta Kapoor postponed the release date of the Akshay Kumar-starrer to August 15, after SRK requested veteran actor Jeetendra to avoid the box office clash.

This action-comedy also stars Deepika Padukone and is directed by Rohit Shetty.

'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara':

Though Akshay Kumar starrer 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara' has shifted its release date the movie is still going to enjoy a longer weekend. It will be released on August 15 which marks Indian's Independence Day.

Directed by Milan Luthria the prequel of the movie starred Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi but in the sequel 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Dobaara', Akshay Kumar has replaced Hashmi as Shoaib with Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha playing new characters.

Madras Cafe:

'Madras Cafe' features John Abraham as the lead and the actor is also co-producing the film which will be released on August 23.

Starring opposite John Abraham is Nargis Fakhri who plays a journalist.

'Madras Cafe' is a political-thriller, which deals with terrorism and civil war and was reportedly shot in Sri Lanka and India.

An Indian Intelligence agent journeys into a war torn coastal island, to break a resolute rebel group. At various junctions he meets a charismatic London based journalist who has come in her pursuit to reflect the truth behind the civil war. The story unfolds as their quest for the truth reveals a deeper conspiracy, by a faceless enemy, united to seize a common nemesis - India.

Satyagraha:

Prakash Jha's 'Satyagraha' is a casting coup of sorts with Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpayee, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Amrita Rao.

The highly anticipated multi-starrer will be released on August 30 which also marks the Parsi New Year.

Following the release of the film’s trailer, many presumed that Amitabh Bachchan’s character is based on the popular anti-corruption campaigner Anna Hazare.

Jha clarified that his film is not inspired by Anna Hazare's campaign against corruption, even though it is the story of a revolution.
