Beti B, Aishwarya visit ailing Amitabh at hospital

The actor's discharge from hospital delayed

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is recuperating from abdominal surgery at the Seven Hills Hospital, had a special visitor on Thursday.

Daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dropped by the hospital with her 3-month-old daughter, still known as "Beti B".

But this is not the first time that the 'little one', as the granfather calls her, visited Bachchan. She paid him a visit the very next day after his surgery on February 12.

"The cheer and smiles come over the face only when the 'little one' visits .. most effective antidote for pain ..", tweeted Mr Bachchan immediately after Beti visited him for the first time.

Amitabh Bachchan, who underwent an abdominal surgery on Saturday, was to be discharged on February 13, 2012.

But his discharge has been delayed and he is still in the hospital due to continuous pain. "OK .. ! Not such an exciting day! Acute pain throughout, but bearing up... Still in hospital and delay now in release," Bachchan posted on Twitter.

He was feeling better after undergoing almost a five-hour operation on Saturday for an abdominal ailment, a hospital official said.

Bachchan, 69, has a history of abdominal problems - the legacy of an accident suffered while filming 'Coolie' three decades ago.

But now after his grand daughter's visit Bachchan has more to cheer. Aishwarya Rai was captured by NDTV camera carrying her daughter making a quick entry and exit from the hospital.

This might be "Beti B's" first public outing since her birth on November 16 last year at the same hospital in Mumbai.

Unconfirmed report suggest that Aishwarya and Abhishek reportedly took a 2-day break with their daughter on Abhishek's birthday on February 5 and went to Goa.
