Bollywood magic in Dubai Park: Salman, Shah Rukh, Hrithik come alive

Dubai Parks and Resorts gives you a sneak-peek of what's happening behind-the-scenes at the world's first Bollywood-inspired theme park.

Bollywood Parks Dubai is a first-of-its-kind entertainment destination that will showcase the authentic Indian movie experience in an interactive format.

Forming one-sixth of the Dhs10.5 billion project, Bollywood Parks Dubai will launch in October this year alongside Motiongate Dubai, Legoland, Legoland Waterpark, Riverland and Lapita Hotel.

Spread across 2.1 million square feet, it will have five themed zones with 16 attractions, which will be operated by Parques Reunidos Servicios Centrales.

The new video introduces audiences to the Bollywood Boulevard, the "home of fun, light and colour," says General Manager for the site, Thomas Jellum.

It gives a brief about the different attractions in the park.

The central area houses numerous restaurants, shops and performance areas, the largest of which is Desi Emporium, an elephant-fronted retail spot.

'Rock On!'

Named after the super hit movie 'Rock On!', it is a stylish restaurant that celebrates the movie's dynamic band Magik and their captivating music. Visitors can enjoy the live band as they belt out popular Hindi and English songs from Bollywood as they are served mouthwatering appetizers and a cool pint.

With a separate entrance that allows visitors to access the music lounge without entering the Park, as well as access for those already in the park, this venus is perfect for celebrations with private tables available for guests to book in advance.

Don: The Chase

Visitors get to join the dangerous world of Interpol agents and chase the slippery mafia boss Don through the spectacular city of Dubai.

Let this thrilling and immersive 3D media tunnel ride take you on an epic chase as you rush past iconic skyscrapers and try to catch the ever elusive Don.

Aamir and Salman galore

The Bollywood Park also gives audiences a chance to be part of Aamir Khan's 'Lagaan' team, set amidst an idyllic village and surrounded by rocky terrain and farms.

One can join police officer Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan) as he rescues his damsel Rajo and her friends in an explosive spectacle to remember.

As the video continues, we are led to Mumbai's iconic Victoria Station, where an exact replica of the terminus has been created and the roof of one of the trains turned into a stage.

There's also family-fun shooting-experience in 'Sholay', 'Lagaan: Champaner Cricket Carnival' and 4D 'RA.One: Unleashed', 'Krrish' experience. It houses a carousel, Ferris wheel and simulator.

Further we are introduced to Royal dining experience, 'Mughal-e-Azam', that takes you back to the era of the Mughal Kings. With interiors set to impress and a cuisine that pays homage to the splendor of ancient kings, this venue is fit for Royalty.

The video gives peak into the Rajmahal Theatre, a Taj Mahal-looking structure which is to house five Broadway-style shows every day at the park.

Other attractions in Bollywood Park include 'Stars on Steps'.

This is an all-out Bollywood song and dance show with all the stops pulled out. In this glitzy show, dancers will perform a popular and classic Bollywood dances, set to hit Bollywood songs through the ages.

'Crossroads' stage will host a medley of flamboyant song and dance performances that will transport you back to the glorious decades of Bollywood in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.

'Rangmanch' is an open-air venue for village style song and dance performances. The highly entertaining and energetic performances will be showcased on a stage typically found in village centers.

This stage will also celebrate the performance arts of rural and remote villages with the shows that feature regional inspired Indian dance forms from Rajasthan and Gujarat states of India.

Mumbai Express - this chugging train is an ever-present image in Bollywood films. In this show, performers atop our train rooftop stage will dance to a range of popular songs that have romanticized the Indian train.

Get a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes of a Bollywood movie production and a live stage show, based on the blockbuster Bollywood Movie 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'.

This family-friendly show gets guests to share in the magic of filmmaking and post-production and may even get to be part of the action.
