So, his movie ‘Student of the Year’ didn’t garner as much box-office muscle as he would’ve expected it to, but is that why director Karan Johar is suddenly turning into a wedding planner?

That we don’t know. But looking at his growing list of Bollywood clientele, it does appear that he’s definitely turning into one of the most popular in B-town.

After choreographing for Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s sangeet in 2007, he worked on Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza’s sangeet last year.

And, earlier this year, he was the mastermind at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s sangeet.

That’s not all. He is currently planning out Vidya Balan and Siddarth Roy Kapoor’s big Bollywood post-wedding bash in Mumbai.

To be held on January 4, at UTV head honcho Ronnie Screwvala and Zarina Mehta's home, it’s tipped to be a star-studded affair.

We hear Karan has also stepped up as the host for this celebration, even drawing out the guest list and planning some fun surprises for the newly-weds.

“He loves weddings and has promised to make this one a gala affair. Ronnie and Zarina are helping him out. In fact, the bash is likely to be held at Ronnie and Zarina's home,” an Indian daily reports.

Vidya and Siddarth are away on their Caribbean honeymoon after a rather private wedding function at his Mumbai residence. They hadn’t invited anyone from Bollywood, except for yesteryear actress Rekha.

Apart from Karan’s association with the production house UTV, he is also known to be good friends with Siddarth. And, there are even reports of him signing Vidya on for his own production house Dharma.
