Six months after the birth of baby Taimur, Kareena Kapoor says that she is pretty happy because she is eating right after childbirth as well.
“It is a gradual process to lose weight. It has been six months. We have to do it the right way. Eat the right kind of food. I had a lot of ghee, I had ghee even in my dal.
I enjoy the taste and it is helping me keeping my skin and great and I am very happy and a happy mother is the best mother in the world.
Kareena was there to launch the book Pregnancy Notes - Before, During and After by her friend Rujuta Diwekar.
“When I did the first book with Rujuta, Don’t Lose Your Mind, Lose Your Weight, we managed a lot of firsts. That was the first time some Bollywood celeb was endorsing a book on diet. Then book stores started having sections on diet apart from their health sections,” says Kareena.
But ever since Kareena has been endorsing health and fitness, she has found a tail of paparazzi from her gym sessions to her yoga classes as well.
“I have been followed everywhere by the paparazzi to my gym and I have been under pressure to wear something new because I am being followed by the paps.
I must have exhausted everything that Adidas, Nike and Reebok had to offer in terms of gymwear,” l But I love that and I love the photographers, so please follow me and please click me every day,” laughs Kareena.
“Being a mother, carrying the child for nine months, giving birth, looking after the child after that… Lots of things come into play here. There are so many changes physically, mentally and hormonally, in fact women sometimes do not even know what they are going through. So, it is important to eat right, eat every two hours and be physically fit,” says Kareena.
Ask her about what she feels about her son Taimur being so widely photographed, Kareena says she has no qualms about it. “I think that culture has changed. Everybody is so open. Everyone is getting photographer. He is as normal. Why should he be treated as if he is not normal. It is fine. It is absolutely ok. I think he is the most amazing and cutest child in the world,” she laughs.
