In the world of cinema, they always say ‘the show must go on’.
For fans of the late Yash Chopra, the phrase has bittersweet significance as his ironically titled “Jab Tak Hai Jaan’s” (Until There is Life) fate hung in the balance with the sudden demise of its director who succumbed to complications stemming from dengue on Sunday.
However, the head of Yash Raj Films’ UAE office Nelson D'Souza has confirmed that the Diwali release of the Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma starrer will go as planned, with “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” releasing across UAE cinemas on November 13, while it will screen a day later in India and global markets.
In an SMS statement to Emirates 24|7, D’Souza wrote: “The film will release as per schedule.”
While the feature film’s shooting is complete, as per sources, a promotional song featuring Khan and Kaif was to be filmed but was not completed as Chopra was admitted in Lilavati Hospital on October 13.
It is unclear whether the film will release without the song or someone from the family or friends will step up to complete the shoot.
