Abhishek, John together in Tamil remake

Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham will come together once again for the remake of the Tamil hit ‘Vettai’. John and Abhishek are a bankable pair and after their hits ‘Dostana’ and 'Dhoom'.

The N Lingusaami directed ‘Vettai’ starred R Madhavan and Arya. It was a sensational hit and, obviously, Bollywood decided to remake it.

Abbas-Mustan will replace Lingusaami in the director’s seat.

Earlier, Shahid Kapoor had been roped in for this remake. But that didn’t work out. Later, it was also rumored that Madhavan and Ali Zafar would play the lead characters, but the makers it seems, weren’t keen on the idea and zeroed in on Abhishek and John.

Vettai is an action drama so, the duo won’t get much chance for an onscreen romance. They will be seen doing action stunts in this remake. Currently, Abhishek is busy with action scenes for ‘Dhoom 3’, whereas John will be seen in ‘Shootout At Wadala’.

The ‘Vettai’ remake should roll out next year.
